If you are just starting off on your Chinese language learning journey, one of the key things to start building is your fountain of vocabulary as this will aid you in building sentences to have those conversations that you want.
There are 150 Chinese words for you to learn to pass the first level of the HSK 1 exams. We'll cover part 1 of these today and go through the word and sentence with you so you know how to use it!

1. 家 Jiā Home
你在家吗？ Nǐ zàijiā ma? Are you at home?
2. 学校 xuéxiào School
这间学校很有名。 Zhè jiān xuéxiào hěn yǒumíng. This school is very popular.
3. 饭馆 fànguǎn Restaurant
附近有饭馆吗？ Fùjìn yǒu fànguǎn ma? Is there a restaurant nearby?
4.商店 shāngdiàn Shop
那一家商店在中国很有名。 Nà yījiā shāngdiàn zài zhōngguó hěn yǒumíng. That shop is very well-known in China.
5. 医院 yīyuàn Hospital
医院在哪里？ Yīyuàn zài nǎlǐ? Where is the hospital?
6. 火车站 huǒchē zhàn Train Station
请去火车站。 Qǐng qù huǒchē zhàn. Please go to the train station.
7. 中国 zhōngguó China
我明年会去中国。 Wǒ míngnián huì qù zhōngguó. I will go to China tomorrow.
8. 北京 běijīng Beijing
北京是中国的首都。 Běijīng shì zhōngguó de shǒudū. Beijing is the capital of China.

我住在楼上。 Wǒ zhù zài lóu shàng. I live upstairs.
10. 下 xià Down
你下来吧。 Nǐ xiàlái ba. Come down.
11. 前面 qiánmiàn Front
火车站在医院的前面。 Huǒchē zhàn zài yīyuàn de qiánmiàn. The train is front of the hospital.
12. 后面 hòumiàn Behind
商店在火车站的后面。 Shāngdiàn zài huǒchē zhàn de hòumiàn. The shop is behind the train station.

14. 今天 jīntiān Today
今天是我的生日。 Jīntiān shì wǒ de shēngrì. Today is my birthday.
15. 明天 míngtiān Tomorrow
我明天去中国。 Wǒ míngtiān qù zhōngguó. I will go to China tomorrow.
16. 上午 shàngwǔ Morning
我上午要上课。 Wǒ shàngwǔ yào shàngkè. I have to go to class in the morning.
17. 中午 zhōngwǔ Noon
我们中午去哪里吃饭？ Wǒmen zhōngwǔ qù nǎlǐ chīfàn? Where should we go eat at noon?
18. 下午 xiàwǔ Afternoon
我下午要去健身房。 Wǒ xiàwǔ yào qù jiànshēnfáng. I have to go to the gym in the afternoon.
19. 年 nián Year
我每年都会去中国玩。 Wǒ měinián dūhuì qù zhōngguó wán. I travel to China every year.

我五点三十分钟才下班。 Wǒ wǔ diǎn sānshí fēnzhōng cái xiàbān. I get off at work at 5.30pm.
25. 现在 xiànzài Now
你现在在哪里？ Nǐ xiànzài zài nǎlǐ? Where are you now?
26. 时候 shíhòu Time
我有时候会很想你。 Wǒ yǒu shíhòu huì hěn xiǎng nǐ. I really miss you sometimes.
