问题 (wèn tí) Problem / Question
The first word is 问题 (wèn tí) which means ‘problem’ or ‘question’. Let’s look at each character of this word, 问 means ‘to ask’ and 题 means ‘topic’. A way of using it in a sentence is 这个问题太难了,我不知道怎么解决。(Zhè ge wèn tí tài nán le, wǒ bù zhī dào zěn me jiě jué.) This problem is too difficult, I don't know how to solve it.
问候 (wèn hòu) To greet
Another word we can create with 问 (wèn) is 问候 (wèn hòu). This means ‘to greet’. A way of using it in a sentence is 我刚刚给他打了电话,向他表示了问候。(Wǒ gāng gāng gěi tā dǎ le diàn huà, xiàng tā biǎo shì le wèn hòu.) I just called him and greeted him over the phone.
问答 (wèn dá) Question and Answer
Finally, we can create the word 问答 (wèn dá) which means question and answer or Q&A. The 答here literally means ‘answer’. A way of using it in a sentence is 这个讲座之后,会有一段时间的问答环节,大家可以提出自己的问题。(Zhè ge jiǎng zuò zhī hòu, huì yǒu yī duàn shí jiān de wèn dá huán jié, dà jiā kě yǐ tí chū zì jǐ de wèn tí.)
